The Waffle Burger at Burger Culture

After seeing all of Carlos Eats yummy photos from Burger Culture, I knew I had to make some time to stop on by. It had been on my agenda but the photos were all of the motivation I needed to make it a priority.

My first experience with Burger Culture was several years ago when I attended a Yelp Tampa Bay Elite event. Burger Culture was a mobile food truck then. We were able to sample a variety of their most popular burgers and I was blown away. I fell in love with the Mango Burger which is made with cream cheese, sauteed onions, and mango chutney.

Now the Burger Culture food truck is not mobile, it is permanently located at the Harley Davidson shop in Tampa. The food is still prepared in the food truck but there is a covered patio which provides seating for guests choosing to enjoy their burger immediately.

Although the truck is called Burger Culture, they do not sell only burgers. The menu is quite expansive and includes burgers, grilled cheeses, chicken sandwiches and steak phillies.

I was tempted to order the Mango Burger I had before and enjoyed but I also wanted to try something different. There were so many great options that it made it hard to choose. I selected the Waffle Burger because it seemed like a unique blend of several things I love. The Waffle Burger is a beef burger topped with goat cheese and blueberry compote in between two Belgium waffles with a honey drizzle.

I am such a sweet fiend and the Waffle Burger,  just like the Mango Burger is a great combination of sweet and savory. I ordered my burger with sweet potato fries. They are seasoned with a flavored salt which also is a perfect balance of sweet and salty.

My burger was cooked a very well medium well, which is not my usual preference. I was told the standard is medium well but you can request whatever temperature you prefer. Although I loved this burger, I would order it medium next time.

I have to thank the owners at Burger Culture for inviting me to experience their awesome creations once again. I cannot wait to return and taste more items from the menu. Next time I am taking my food sharing friends though so I can try more than just one of the menu items.

It is pretty big. I almost finished it but the burger one and I had to tap out. The small piece I wasn’t able to eat was my snack later though.

Your burger looks absolutely scrumptious! When I lived in Carrollwood, I kept telling myself I’d give Burger Culture a try and never did – I will definitely have to make the drive to finally experience the deliciousness for myself!

This looks so bomb!!!! Love food truck food!

  16. April 5, 2017 / 9:21 PM

How freaking cool is this!!!! Man food trucks are so yummy, but I love this concept of locking down the truck, but keeping the truck and allowing their guests to sit and enjoy the food. We have a waffle burger truck here in Houston, and their sandwiches are amazing! I hate to imagine the calories tho…lol

  17. April 5, 2017 / 9:49 PM

WOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHH that looks amazing! Food trucks always have the most creative type of foods

  18. April 5, 2017 / 11:11 PM

That looks delicious! I have been known to tear up a food truck or two myself lol. I never had a waffle burger before.

The Waffle Burger is one that I dream of and salivate over. Best burger hands down. The combination of the blueberry compote, honey and goat cheese… You’d think it is gross but it is the most amazing thing ever. #LoveLoveLove
