Morning Musings – March 6

Last week was a very hectic week for me. I am preparing my students for another round of testing next week. They have been a bit moody so that hasn’t made things easy. The air conditioning in the building also has not been working very well so that is making all of us even more cranky during class. Needless to say, I was ready for the weekend to begin.

I got a head start on Thursday as I was invited to attend the Gasparilla International Film Festival Opening Night Reception and Film some of my fellow Tampa Bay Bloggers. I have a special place in my heart for this festival as I volunteered with this festival for years. As a lover of the arts, I loved being a part of sharing independent films with the community.

Friday the fun continued as I was invited to attend the Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival VIP Tasting. There are pictures on Instagram of course but you can also read all about it here. This is an event that I do not think you should miss especially since you can pay for a day and go all year.

The relaxation continued on Saturday. I met one of my girls for a belated birthday lunch at District Tavern. I followed it up with dinner at Melt in St. Pete with another girlfriend. I love my girl time and this week it was very necessary.

All in all, I was not as productive as I needed to be with my blog goals and personal to do list but I enjoyed the mental break.

How was your weekend? Were you able to tackle your weekend to-do list?

What a cool event to be invited too. I hope to get invited to events like that as I grow as a blogger. I hope to move to a bigger area soon too. Oh and that food looks amazing.

As you continue to blog and build relationships with PR companies and businesses, you will definitely get more opportunities. Where do you currently live?

Independent Films are so awesome, I did not realize what I was missing all of this time until I started volunteering with GIFF.

I love movies. I’ve always wanted to attend a film festival. I’ve popped in an out of a few here in Houston, but never consistent enough! I definitely want to take time for that! And you’re a teacher? That’s awesome! Thanks for making a difference in the world
