Morning Musings – March 27

Whew! It seems like the weekend flew by. I mean seriously can I get a do over?!

Although I am not sure why I need a do over because I did not really do a whole heck of a lot this weekend. I feel tired though and not ready for the new work week to begin.

Saturday was a slow start for me. I was very laissez faire about getting moving in the morning. Maybe I was saving my energy for the 3 hour workout I knew I had later in the day. Yes you read that right, I had a 3 hour long dance fit Master Class I was attending hosted by Charmaine of Caribbean Vibez. The theme was Jamaica vs. Puerto Rico and it was a fun trip to the islands. This was an amazing event and I had a blast. All of the instructors were amazing. I seriously need to bottle up their energy to get me through this week.

Prior to attending the class, I had to stop by The Mini Doughnut Factory to get some sweet treats for after the class. I had been talking about my love for these mini confections and I thought this would be a perfect time to share these treats and no one would feel guilty about the calories.

As expected, they were a hit and everyone loved them. I felt bad because I did not have enough to go around. Next time I will have to bring more.

Sunday started much like Saturday with my having to pry myself out of the bed. I definitely felt all 3 hours of that workout by then. This would have been a great time to have a significant other who could have rubbed me down and massaged all of the soreness out of my limbs. I don’t though so a warm bath had to do.

Fun time at @rmhctampabay making dinner!

My only motivation for leaving the house was attending a volunteer activity with my fellow Tampa Bay Bloggers at the Ronald McDonald House. We cooked a delicious meal of bacon meatloaf muffins, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and lemon bars for the families staying in the house.

When the meatloaf needs mixing! 😆 Thanks for the shot @tampamomruns! @rmhctampabay

After cooking for the families, I was hungry and I knew I would not be cooking for myself when I got home so I went to dinner at Ava. I enjoyed an awesome pasta dish that filled me up and had me ready for bed.

Tell me about your weekend. Was it busy and productive or lazy and relaxed?
