A Good Friday at The Grand Beauty Spa

The first quarter of the year has concluded and I am feeling exhausted already. The year has been a good one but it has been a busy one for me so far. I have been working longer hours at work, hitting the gym 3-4 days a week and trying to be more consistent with sharing on the blog. As a result, I have had very little time to just be still and relax. Friday I finally got that opportunity. I was off from work for Good Friday and I had not made plans to go out of town because as I have expressed I was just tired. I decided to staycation and learning “how to Grand Spa” seemed perfect.

Living in South Tampa, I have often passed The Grand Beauty Spa on my many trips up and down Kennedy Boulevard. The Grand Beauty Spa is located in a beautiful gray building which resembles an old house. I would never have guessed inside was such an oasis to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

When I entered I was immediately greeted by Bruce, my massage therapist. He called me by name and offered me a beverage. I received a glass of citrus infused water and continued to the Ladies Lounge where I was given a robe and a pair of sandals before heading upstairs for my massage.

I chose to have The Grand Massage which is an 80-minute massage which combines the Swedish, Thai and Shiatsu techniques. My body had been extremely tense lately and this was exactly what I needed. Bruce rubbed me down from toe to head and when it was over I wanted to ask him to do it again.

After completing my massage, I continued to the sauna in the Ladies Lounge. I sat and allowed the heat from the sauna to further soothe my muscles before heading outside to relax in the Zen garden.

Visiting The Grand Beauty Spa was a great way to enjoy the day to myself. It made for a really good Friday. Although I received a massage, The Grand Beauty Spa is a full-service spa which offers a full variety of spa and salon services which you can find here. To treat yourself or someone you love to a grand experience you can schedule your appointment online. Mention I sent you and enter the code TAMPABLOGGER in the comments section to receive 10% off of your services.

In addition, you can enter to win a spa day for two, just in time for Mother’s Day! Tampa Bay Parenting and The Grand Beauty Spa is hosting a contest to celebrate our hero moms. I was provided with a complimentary Grand Massage at the The Grand Beauty Spa in exchange for sharing my experience with you on my blog. As you know, I only tell you the truth about my experiences and my thoughts are my own.

I was actually researching some reflexology and massage last night, as I’m needing one myself. That Grand Massage sounds like a dream… I’ve never had a Swedish, Thai, nor Shiatsu massage, but I’ve heard great things. It’s always nice to treat yourself 🙂

Spas make for great staycations and this one looks like you had a fabulous experience. I’m loving that they offer yoga. I’ve never seen that offered in a spa in the DC area. #Impressed
